Light is the only element that can transform a space in an instant. It can move you emotionally or guide you through a journey by illuminating a path.

Bruno Mars envisioned a cocktail lounge and live music venue at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino as an opulent adult playground, where the atmosphere of luxury could be seen, felt, and lived. The Pinky Ring immerses guests in an alluring atmosphere reminiscent of a 1970s private penthouse party. Our task was to create a dramatic environment without relying on cliché notions of Vegas opulence.
Through a strategic interplay of low-level, contrast, and accent lighting, we set out to create a space where people both look and feel their best. Lighting the façade was designed to highlight the venue within the broader casino floor while maintaining the privacy expected of a VIP experience.
Illumination at the Grammy wall in the hall leading into the Pinky Ring presented a particular challenge. The team focused on finding the right compact fixture to fit within the smaller alcove yet powerful enough to light the Grammys effectively. On the main floor, lighting was kept warm and inviting, with special attention placed on the bar and stage areas.
A coordinated DMX system enables lighting to adapt fluidly to different moods and functions, from stage performances to lounge, disco, and dance settings. The increased complexity of the stage design called for close coordination with lighting specialists to develop and integrate the appropriate systems. At the central pit area, color-changing light creates a discothèque effect, complemented by a custom chandelier designed to shift in tone and intensity, ensuring it looks exceptional, no matter the time or setting.

Echoing the fluid rhythm of water, KOHLER’s Salone del Mobile 2024 exhibition envelops visitors in an immersive experience that reimagines the future of wellness.
As visitors move through the space, the harmony of light, architecture, and nature reveals itself in every detail. We embraced the concept of circadian rhythm, allowing the natural hues of the sun to guide movement through the space. Using projection mapping, our studio created a dynamic series of visualizations that mirror the tempo of this biological cycle. These projections enhance the architecture while evoking the shifting moods of daylight, from the gentle glow of sunrise to the tranquil tones of dusk. By modulating color and temperature, we accentuated key spatial moments throughout the experience.

Designed through the eyes of a modern wanderer, the concept follows a desert nomad on their motorcycle journey of adventure and discovery. Expanding on the bold identity of Moxy Hotels, we setout to create rich, moody environments that evoke a sense of wonder and discovery.
When lighting and interior designers collaborate from the start, the results can be transformative. Inspired by the hues of desert rock formations, the neutral rammed-earth walls of the lobby are softly illuminated by ceiling accents lights that highlight the material’s texture and tonal depth. In contrast, the iridescent tile walls at the check-in area are lit by inground uplights that reveal their intricate patterns and color variations, transforming a functional surface into a striking feature.
Guests are guided toward artwork displayed throughout the property, emphasizing the materiality and craftsmanship of each piece. In the guestrooms, integrated lighting within custom millwork adds cohesion and refinement, while copper-hued articulated sconces frame each bed, casting light upward.
