Moxy NYC Times Square

Moxy NYC Times Square

Yabu Pushelberg designed the North American debut of the playful European brand, Moxy, in the heart of Times Square. Designed to provide travelers the opportunity to experience quality, functional design in the center of Manhattan with affordable rates, Yabu Pushelberg created a dynamic, socially driven environment that values connectivity.

As one of the first examples of a micro-hotel in Manhattan, the studio employed a disruptive shift in scale with hyper-efficient bedrooms and public spaces outfitted in custom furniture, fixtures, and built-in design details that have since become a trademark of the Moxy brand.

"Whether you are designing a room that's $250 or $2,500 a night, you must pay equal attention to detail, ergonomics, and how one can experience the space."
— Glenn Pushelberg

"Artfulness shouldn't be dictated by room rates. The goal is the same: to create unique and interesting interiors."
— George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg
