Yabu Pushelberg’s interiors for the new AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles appeal to a modern, design-conscious traveler who wants the essential elements of a luxury hotel at an accessible rate. Imagining the hotel as an artist’s home-away-from-home, the designers brought the Spanish roots of the AC brand into conversation with the Latin heritage of Los Angeles. The result is a distinct identity that’s familiar and residential without ever feeling generic.
